On Saturday 1st May at 3 pm - 6 pm members of the Nyahbinghi Rastafari community from across the UK, led by Ras Bandele, gathered once again to celebrate at Fairfield House after lockdown.
This joyful day was the return of the monthly sabbath observance which happens on the first Saturday of each month and also coincided with Ethiopian Fasika and St George's Day, shortly followed by Ethiopian liberation day ( May 5th ), the day His Imperial Majesty returned triumphantly to Ethiopia in 1941.
